Cacao Bliss Balls

These indulgent chocolate treats are a nutritious upgrade with healthy fats, blood-sugar balancing cinnamon and antibacterial honey.  Plus, you can add in a number of other superfoods to suit your fancy!

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup raw almond butter

1/4 cup raw cacao powder (carob works too if you’re avoiding chocolate)

1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

1/8 cup coconut milk

3 Tbsp raw honey or Grade B maple syrup

a dash of sea salt

Optional:  add in maca powder, goji berries, mulberries cayenne pepper, ginger or greens powder for additional superfood power

DIRECTIONS:

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

2. Roll 1/2-inch balls in the palm of your hand.  You

3.  Serve immediately OR store in a closed container in the refrigerator using parchment paper to separate the layers of superfood balls so they don’t stick together.  Keeps for about 5 days in the refrigerator.

Makes about 50 1 tsp balls.
