Kale Chips

These scrumptious nutrient-packed snacks beat out potato chips any day! A guilt-free way to add some crunch to your day … and if you’re not so sure about eating kale, then this is a good place to start!

INGREDIENTS:

1 bunch kale (I tend to use the leafy kind, but any one will do!)

1 Tbsp unrefined grapeseed oil

Sea salt, to taste

2 Tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Rinse and dry the kale, then remove the steps and tough center ribs by hand or with a knife.

3. Cut into large pieces, toss with grapeseed oil in a bowl, then sprinkle with sea salt.

4. Arrange leaves in a single layer on a baking sheet (or two, if needed).

5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until crisp. Remove and place baking sheet on a rack to cool.

6. Sprinkle with nutritional yeast for flavor, if you wish. This nutritional yeast is also a rich source of B vitamins and minerals.
